How Often Should You Change Your Vape Coil?
Remember that perfect first hit from your vape? The flavor explodes, and the vapor is silky smooth. But what happens when that brilliant taste turns dull or starts to taste a little burnt?
Don’t worry, it’s not you it’s just your coil’s way of saying it’s time for a change. Explore here the easy-to-spot signs that it’s time for a fresh coil to get back to that perfect flavor, especially with your Myle Pods.
Listen to the taste:
Your e-liquid is your best guide. When you notice the flavor from your vape becomes dull or different, take note. A strong, unpleasant taste is an even clearer signal. This burnt flavor means the coil’s wicking material is worn out. It cannot absorb the e-liquid properly anymore.
Watch the vapor production:
A drop in vapor can be another clue. If you are getting less cloud than usual, even with a full battery, the coil might be the issue. An old, gunked-up coil does not heat the e-liquid as effectively. This leads to weaker vapor production.
Pay attention to the sound:
A healthy coil has a gentle, consistent sizzle. If you start hearing a gurgling or a loud spitting noise, something is wrong. This often happens because the coil is flooded or past its best. It is not functioning as it should.
Check the color of your e-liquid:
Look at the e-liquid in your tank. Is it still a clear, light color? Or has it turned very dark, like maple syrup? A dark e-liquid is a sign that your coil is old. The residue from the heated e-liquid has built up, changing the color and taste.
Know your e-liquid type:
Some e-liquids are harder on coils than others. Sweet, dark liquids and those with a lot of flavoring can cause coils to wear out faster. They leave more residue on the coil. If you use these, you might find yourself changing your coil a little more often.
Set a simple time frame:
For many people, a good rule is to change the coil every one to two weeks. This is not a fixed rule for everyone. Your own habits matter a lot. If you vape frequently throughout the day, your coil will not last as long as for someone who uses their device less often.
